ExecuJet Middle East, a partnership between Alpha Middle East Holdings and Luxaviation, opened its new flagship headquarters at Dubai South’s Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) in December 2023. Besides a 15,000m² FBO with 7,000m² of hangar space, this new facility also includes a 15,350m² independent MRO facility with a hangar and adjacent workshops that can accommodate 18 to 24 business jets simultaneously.
Construction company, ‘Amana Contracting & Steel Buildings’ awarded Jewers Doors the contract to supply, deliver, install, and commission two sets of Esavian 126-SBR horizontal sliding doors for this prestigious, state-of-the-art hangar complex and FBO.
The new hangar facility has two specialist zones, each with a separate door, the first being dedicated for the maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) hangar and the second dedicated to ExecuJet’s FBO operations.
The MRO hangar door is 135,100mm wide x 13,500mm high and is fitted with six equal door leaves, each 23,000mm wide running on three continuous tracks. All six leaves slide independently of one another within the two openings.
The FBO hangar opening is 89,500mm wide x 13,500mm high and is fitted with three equal door leaves, each 30,453mm wide running on three continuous tracks. All three leaves slide independently of one another within the opening.
Jewers Doors regional sales manager Ben Pritchard said “We were delighted to be awarded the sliding hangar door package for this prestigious project. It is a significant milestone as Jewers Doors Limited (Dubai Branch) has been working closely with ExecuJet for almost two decades, having previously installed hangar doors at their facility at Dubai International Airport. Jewers’ service team continues to maintain the doors on a regular basis.”
