On 9 June 2015 Entry Point North, a leading global Air Traffic Services academy, and Naviair (Air Navigation Service Provider of Denmark) entered into a long-term frame agreement for the delivery of simulator platform and related services to be used in training by all Danish ATC Towers and the North Atlantic controllers.
The agreement includes installation, operation and maintenance of simulator systems onsite, data preparation and provision of simulator pilots.
Entry Point North will install 270° tower simulator consisting of five TWR controller positions and ten pilot simulator positions / controller (ACS/APS). Its simulator experts will design exercises and airport layouts for all six Naviair’s air traffic control towers. Under the same agreement Entry Point North will provide Danish-speaking professional simulator pilot services to be used during the training.
In August this year Naviair will start operating the new simulator for tower controller continuation and unit training. "The simulator platform offered by Entry Point North is a state-of-the-art as well a cost-efficient solution for Naviair. Outsourcing the related simulator services to an experienced and reliable supplier, allows us to focus on excellence in training delivery" says Claus Skjærbæk, COO, Naviair.
