On 26 February 2016, Entry Point North has completed the certification process of the training organisation in accordance with the Commission Regulation (EU) No 2015 / 340.

Being one of the first training organisations in Europe, the academy has successfully met all requirements for certification and is now fully licensed under the Commission Regulation (EU) 2015 / 340.

The certificate covers ATCO initial training basic and all rating training, practical instructor and assessor training. Moreover, Entry Point North has also obtained a new approval as unit training organisation to provide and conduct transitional training.

The academy provides all air traffic control (ATC) training according to the regulation already since September 2015 and at the moment all courses delivered are following the new requirements.

The certification is the result of a close collaboration between Entry Point North and the Swedish Aviation Authority Transportstyrelsen. The training sites, Entry Point Central in Hungary and Entry Point North in Ireland, have both started the certification process, which will be completed in 2016 as well.
