Entry Point North has been selected to deliver training for Basic ATS, AFIS, Met-observation (AMO) and Instructor / Assessor facilities for Avinor.

Avinor AS and Avinor Flysikring of Norway training contracts follow two successful public procurement processes carried out by Entry Point North.

Both training agreements are for a duration of three years with two possible extensions of one year each.

Between 12 and 24 students a year from Avinor are expected to come to Malmö for Basic ATS, AFIS and AMO training.

Avinor has been successfully educating its Norwegian AFIS officers at Entry Point North since the establishment of the academy in 2006.

The Instructor and Assessor training consist of Assessor, OJTI, Assessor Refresher and OJTI Refresher courses for operational Norwegian air traffic controllers and AFIS officers.

OJTI Refresher courses will be delivered on-site at Avinor’s premises, while the rest of the courses will take place in Malmö.

“Entry Point North has been delivering AFIS, Instructor and Assessor training for Avinor for many years and always with the highest standard. We are happy to continue to work together with Entry Point North in the coming 3-5 years.” says Margrethe Snekkerbakken, Avinor AS regional airports executive vice-president.
