Custom announces the launch of a new range of products specifically developed for easier integration into common-use bag-drop kiosks.
The ultra compact KPM150 comes from the railway TVM market as an enhancement of the KPM54, bringing the printing speed from 50 mm/sec to 180 mm/sec. It is suitable for use in unattended outdoor machines exposed to all weather conditions.
The new KPM150 has been designed for the airline industry, utilising the mechanical core of the KPM54 which has been
successfully deployed worldwide for ten years.
“Its compact footprint,” said Mr Gabriele Ruggieri, Product Marketing Manger of Custom Engineering, “is ideal for the new generation of slim self-service terminal; why should I use a bulky desktop printer if I can use a smaller OEM version, which has been designed specifically for integration into a kiosk? The new movable sensor will catch any notch or black-mark for flexible integration with any paper stock available.”
The KPM150 comes fully packed with Windows drivers, up to Win 7 64 bit, and supported by Linux drivers.
For the top-end of the market, Custom is launching the highspec KPM302 printer for boarding passes and bag tags.
This printer holds all AEA pactabs for BP and BT, and represents an evolution of the KPM300 which has been installed in more than ten thousand self-service machines worldwide.
Reliability and compact footprint come as standard. The KPM302 is equipped with bottom and top movable
sensors for aligning any paper stock. The ethernet interface makes KPM302 a fully network-compatible printer which allows you to connect directly to the printer’s IP address to monitor or change parameters.
The KPM302 features both USB and RS232.
