Garrett Metal Detectors is joining the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games as its official metal detectors supplier.
Garrett will provide more than 1,200 metal detection products, including 220 walk-through metal detectors and 1,000 handheld metal detectors for security use at games venues.
The Toronto 2015 will mark more than 30 years that Garrett has provided security products to international multi-sport games venues, which all started with the Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games, and also included the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and the Indianapolis 1987 Pan Am Games.

The equipment will be used at more than 30 competition venues in 15 different municipalities during the games.

Garrett Metal Detectors joins previously announced members of the Toronto 2015 sponsor family, including lead partner CIBC, premier partners Atos, Chevrolet Canada, Cisco, Live Nation Entertainment, Loblaw Companies Limited, and opening ceremony creative partner Cirque du Soleil.
Official suppliers include Allstream, Beanfield Metroconnect, CN Tower, Coca-Cola, Pattison Outdoor Advertising, FUSE Marketing Group, Imperial, McKesson Canada, Molson Coors, Ontario Trillium Foundation, Royal Canadian Mint, Scalar, Schenker of Canada Ltd., Siemens Canada, Toronto Pearson International Airport, the Toronto Star and official broadcaster CBC/Radio-Canada.
The Toronto 2015 Pan American Games will take place July 10-26 and the Parapan American Games August 7-15.
