JFK Terminal One Group (TOGA) and Ink Innovation are expanding the Ink Disaster Recovery System (Ink DRS) at JFK Terminal One. This technology ensures operational resilience for the terminal’s airline partners by allowing agents to maintain operations during system failures, without relying on fixed airport infrastructure.
Ink DRS was successfully trialed last year, demonstrating its capability to quickly process passengers and baggage. This deployment aims to safeguard airport operations from disruptions, particularly during JFK’s redevelopment, which anticipates handling 75 million passengers in the next decade.
JFK Terminal One executive director Steve Rowland emphasised that Ink DRS ensures robust and continuous operations, essential for overcoming challenges like power outages and system failures.
