Eastcom and Sepura recently celebrated five years of collaboration by reaffirming their distribution and joint development agreement for Sepura products in the Chinese market.
Eastcom is one of China’s leading enterprises in the design, development and manufacture of TETRA systems and equipment. It has a long history in the country’s mobile communications industry and is an influential player in wireless trunking, having developed eTRA, a digital communication system that supports both TETRA and the Chinese Police digital hybrid network.
In 2012, the two companies signed a memorandum of understanding, under which they agreed to share their respective skills, insights and market experience relating to the manufacture, distribution and service of TETRA radio products.
"We are delighted to continue this successful partnership with Eastcom, one of our most important partners in the Asia Pacific region," said Terence Ledger, Sepura’s regional sales director for the area.
"We are extremely happy with the way our relationship has developed over the last five years, and we’re looking forward to the innovations that we can deliver together in the next five years."
Eastcom vice-president Yu Yong Chao added: "We very much value our relationship with Sepura. It is an exceptionally powerful partnership that has allowed us to accurately meet the needs of the Chinese market, increasing customer satisfaction and, ultimately, contributing to the success of our business."
