Vanderlande Industries has announced that Michiel Peters will leave the company as of April 1st. Michiel Peters joined Vanderlande Industries in 2004, starting as Managing Director Operations, and has been in the position of CEO since 2009.

"The Supervisory Board regrets the departure of Michiel Peters. We are very grateful to him for his outstanding contribution to the development of Vanderlande Industries since 2004. Under Michiel Peters’ leadership, Vanderlande Industries has become more market oriented and has strengthened its positions in various market segments.

"Also, internal operations have been optimised and innovation has accelerated. Throughout the challenging economic climate, Vanderlande Industries invested in all these areas and the positive effects are now visible. We will close our fiscal year in March with record sales of over €700 million.

"Michiel Peters informed us some time ago that he intended to leave Vanderlande Industries. At that time, we started a search process for a successor. Meanwhile, we have found Peter Gerretse, former CEO, with his extensive knowledge and experience within Vanderlande Industries, willing and able to temporarily support the Management Board, until we have found a successor and can officially announce the next CEO," explains Paul Broekhuijsen, chairman of the Supervisory Board.

States Michiel Peters: "It has been a privilege to work for Vanderlande Industries. After more than eight years, of which the last four have been very intense, I want to take some time off. This way I can rest up and prepare myself for a new challenge. I leave with a positive feeling because Vanderlande Industries is in good condition."
