Sri Lankan Airlines has begun using the new MATERNA check-in application on the SITA kiosks at Colombo Bandaranaike Airport. The airline starts its new self-service check-in on 8 SITA CUSS kiosks.
The check-in application at Colombo is a Sri Lankan-branded version of the new DNATA check-in application about to be installed and operated early this year at Dubai Terminal 1 on 15 check-in kiosks with the Materna CUSS platform.
The target is to keep pace with the ever-growing passenger numbers at this outstanding airport. The new Materna IPS check-in application enables DNATA to handle its various airline customers in terminal 1 with a single check-in application that can be customised and configured for all airline brands. Along with the kiosks the application also handles web and mobile phone clients.
With its new architecture-based web services, the application fits perfectly into DNATA’s IT infrastructure where it is hosted togehter with other DNATA services.
