Malaysia Airports Holdings (MAHB) has awarded a contract to SITA for the deployment of 15 Scan&Fly self-bag drop units at Terminal 2 in Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
SITA has already installed 15 drop units earlier this year, which helped AirAsia to reduce check-in waiting times by 40% for its passengers.

Finland-based renewable energy products firm Neste has reached an agreement with Air BP to identify solutions to enhance the availability of sustainable aviation fuel for operators in the airline industry.
The collaboration will leverage the renewable jet fuel production and blending expertise of Neste and customer network of Air BP to develop an efficient supply chain.
The partnership will work on the development of a sustainable aviation fuel, which will be co-branded and marketed across Air BP’s global network.
AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC), a part of Volga-Dnepr Group, has entered a ten-year lease agreement for the establishment of its European hub at the Liege Airport in Belgium.
The agreement enables ABC to lease a 25,000m² warehouse facility to carry out cargo operations at the airport.
A memorandum of understanding for the lease agreement was signed between Liege Airport and Volga-Dnepr Group during the Farnborough International Airshow 2018.

SITA will offer its AirportConnect Open platform to API to assist the launch of self-service check-in kiosks, bag-drop and boarding gates, as well as ControlBridge, at the airports.
SITA’s AirportConnect Open platform has been operational with API airports since 2014.
