GoAir has taken delivery of another Airbus A320 aircraft, the ninth of ten A320s ordered by the airline in 2006 for $1.2bn.

The aircraft will be deployed on the air carrier’s new routes, according to The Press Trust of India.

With the new introduction, the airline will be operating 890 commercial flights per week under the new winter schedule, according to GoAir CEO Kaushik Khona.

The A320 can fly up to 180 passengers.

The airline is expected to receive the last of the first tranche of aircraft deliveries in October 2010.
