US-based aircraft manufacturer Cessna has delivered the first two business jets of its Citation XLS+ series to Lufthansa.
The jet is the latest addition to Cessna’s mid-size Excel / XLS family with fully integrated Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite.
Fitted with electronically controlled (FADEC) engines from Pratt & Whitney Canada, it flies at a speed of 441kt with a range of 1,858nm.
Its straight-winged design and streamlined profile enables it to land at slower speeds on shorter runways with a typical take-off distance of 3,560ft.
New features such as the extended nose and the wider seating span resemble the older Citation X and Citation Sovereign models, aero-news.net has reported.
The XLS+ model was bought by the airlines along with two CJ3s and one CJ1+ aircraft.
