Aviation service provider Unifi Aviation has acquired Prospect Airport Services.
Prospect Airport Services currently operates at 30 airports across the US, including Chicago, Dallas, and Newark, New Jersey.
The company provides a range of services, including baggage handling, lost and found, aircraft cleaning and wheelchair assistance being the most significant services.
Through this acquisition, Unifi claimed it is the largest provider of airport wheelchair services in the US, worth nearly $2m in revenues.
The Atlanta, Georgia, based company said it would work to integrate Prospect Airport Services staff into the company and that there would be no job cuts.
Unifi’s CEO Gautam Thakkar said the firm is committed to its workforce and their job satisfaction.

Prospect Airport Services grew from a family business, founded by husband and wife duo Robert and Mary Strobel in 1966, to the 11,000 headcount it had before the acquisition.
Prospect was still run by the Strobel family, CEO Vicki Strobel and Senior Vice President Michael Strobel are Robert and Mary’s children. They will join Unifi for the “next chapter”.

Unifi holds contracts at 200 in the US, providing ground handling, passenger transport, security, cabin services, ground support equipment maintenance services. It is part of the Argenbright Group.
