The Innovative Contractors for Advanced Dimensions (ICAD) has announced the appointment of Collins Aerospace for the deployment and maintenance of airport services at NEOM Bay Airport.
Collins Aerospace, an RTX subsidiary, will supply a variety of system products such as its self-bag drop system, databases, communications, and resource management tools.
Rakan Khaled, general manager of airport solutions at Collins Aerospace emphasised their aims of increasing passenger journeys.
Khaled said: "Collins is working closely with ICAD to implement data-driven solutions to save time and increase the operational efficiency of this airport."
"We are dedicated to improving the passenger journey for travellers around the globe, and meeting the modernisation needs of airports and airlines."
According to RTX, both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 expansions are set to be completed by the end of 2023.
The terminals will feature Collins’ self-service check-in desks, its travel document verification system and its BagLink system.
ICAD is the chief contractor of the NEOM Bay Airport project which aims to be the largest serving airport hub in the world.
