Embraer and FlightSafety International have unveiled a new Praetor full-flight simulator in Orlando, Florida and aim to launch a new simulator in Europe by 2024.

The simulator being launched in Europe, at a location that will be announced at a later date, will be the fourth Praetor simulator.

The Florida-based simulator is already FAA-certified, according to Embraer, who claims that the Praetor 500 and 600 are the "most technologically advanced aircraft in their categories".

Embraer Services & Support president and CEO Carlos Naufel emphasised how the launch of the new simulators will help offer enhanced training practices and increase customer support: “Offering additional training capacity is important for supporting our customers.

"These two new full-flight simulators bring us even closer to Praetor family pilots and operators in the United States and Europe and will provide us with the opportunity to share our latest technological updates and best-in-class support.”

The Praetor 500 has been seen to have outperformed certification expectations, flying 3,340 nautical miles (6,186 km) with four passengers.

According to the Brazilian manufacturer, the Praetor 500 is the world's longest and fastest-flying midsize aircraft, capable of nonstop flights from Miami to Seattle or Los Angeles to New York.

On the other hand, the Praetor 600 is the world's longest-flying super-midsize jet, capable of nonstop flights from Paris to New York or Sao Paulo to Miami. The Praetor 600 features an intercontinental range of 4,018 nautical miles (7,441 km).

Nate Speiser, executive VP of FlightSafety sales and marketing, added: “FlightSafety is committed to addressing the increasing demand for Embraer Praetor training.

“As Embraer’s training partner, we are proud to announce consecutive simulator deployments in two regions to support the worldwide training demand for this quickly growing fleet.”
