AeroCloud is a software company that creates modular, scalable Airport Management Software Solutions that utilize AI and machine learning to deliver technological innovation to the airport sector. Headquartered in Macclesfield in the UK, AeroCloud is a Category Award Winner for Innovation - Passenger Tracking and Product Launches - Passenger Tracking. It is recognized for developing its industry-first passenger count and track solution AeroCloud Optic.

AeroCloud Optic uses computer vision to allow airports to intelligently, accurately and anonymously count and track passengers in real time as they pass through the airport. This monitoring enables airports to identify delays and hold-ups in real-time, adjust operations, and redirect staff accordingly.

In addition, the platform’s artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms deliver accurate, anonymous 24/7 data that airports can confidently use to support critical operational decisions. These data insights can also be used by stakeholders to make informed improvements to the passenger experience and to increase revenue streams.

Launched in March 2023, AeroCloud Optic has been trialled at Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Sarasota Bradenton International Airport in Florida.

For years, airports have, with little success, tested different technologies in bids to build an accurate understanding of passenger flow. AeroCloud’s solution to this challenge is AeroCloud Optic - an industry-first computer vision technology that can anonymously track passengers from the curb to the departure gate.

The new technology will add to AeroCloud’s already impressive Airport Management platform, which supports more than 47 customers and over 190+ million annual passengers. It includes solutions for flight management, passenger prediction, gate management, FIDS, passenger processing, self-service check-in, inspection management, asset management, airfield works and remote stand plans.
