Unmanned aircraft and drone services provider Volatus Aerospace has agreed to fully purchase Altohelix Corporation and RPAS Centre of Markham Ontario.

The acquisition will help Volatus Aerospace expand its drone services in the Canadian province of Ontario.

Altohelix offers services such as the establishment of operations, training, equipment sales, and standard operating procedures and company operations manuals development.

In addition, Altohelix provides monitoring and support, and safety management mainly to clients in first response, exploration, mining, and energy sectors.

Volatus business development vice-president Rob Walker said: “The addition of these two great companies is a major step for Volatus as we continue to increase our group’s capabilities and add substantial presence in Canada’s largest city.

“Their Enterprise services, professional training products and strategic positioning allows us to accelerate our service expansion in every aspect of the UAV marketplace.”

RPAS Centre was created from Altohelix in 2019. It offers services such as online, in-class, and practical flight training, and more.

With this acquisition, around 60 Transport Canada qualified RPAS Flight Reviewers will be added to Volatus.

Financial details of the deal are not disclosed.
