San Diego International Airport has introduced Chauntry’s parking reservations platform to improve parking at the airport.
The Chauntry parking reservations technology enables travellers to reserve and pay for a parking space before travelling to the airport.
This avoids uncertainties that travellers often experience while looking for a parking space close to their terminals.
The barcode, issued to travellers after their pre-booking, can be printed or sent to their smart devices which they can later use while entering and exiting the garage.
This technology allows frequent travellers to create a user account. This includes personal and payment information, offering a quicker and convenient pre-booking experience for their future travels.
The user interface enables seamless and quick integration into Chauntry’s platform, allowing people to use it on any device.

By GlobalDataChauntry chief executive officer Theresa Hughes said: “Being able to reserve parking before leaving for the airport is an invaluable amenity for travellers.
“Travelling can be stressful enough without having to worry about whether you’ll be able to find a parking space and get into the terminal quickly to make your flight. The Chauntry parking reservations platform eliminates that stress.”
San Diego International Airport is claimed to have become the first airport in the US to provide an advanced parking reservations platform, Chauntry’s Parkspace v. 18, for travellers.
Set up in 1991, Chauntry currently serves as a global provider of parking reservations systems.
Last year, Chauntry was acquired by HolidayExtras.com, the UK-based company that markets travel extras, including parking, hotels, lounges, fast-rack, holiday insurance, car hire, airport transfers, attraction tickets, and short breaks.
