Roy Anderson has won an $88m contract to construct a parking garage at Charleston International Airport in South Carolina, US.
The contract was awarded by the Charleston County Aviation Authority and will see the contractor build a new five-storey parking facility at the airport.
Covering an area of one-million-square-foot, the cast-in-place parking garage will be able to accommodate approximately 3,000 cars.
The contract will also involve construction of a pedestrian walkway, new roadway, landscaping, elevator core / lobby, and renovations to the existing walkway / circulation area.
Construction on the new parking facility is expected to begin this month with substantial completion anticipated by next year.
The Charleston County Aviation Authority received five qualified bids for the project in December last year. Four contractors were found suitable and Roy Anderson was selected as it was the lowest bid.
