Papua New Guinea’s National Airport has selected SITA AirportHub to improve connectivity at Port Moresby’s Jacksons International Airport.
The SITA AirportHub shared connectivity platform will enable Port Moresby airport to offer airlines, ground handlers and other tenants secure and reliable bandwidth, including wireless connectivity to run off-site applications.
Currently, the system is operational at nearly 440 airports across the world.
National Airport managing director Richard Yopo said: “With a view to delivering greater connectivity to every user of Port Moresby Jacksons International Airport, National Airport Corporation is proud to become the world’s latest operator of SITA’s AirportHub IT system.
“This represents another significant step in the process of upgrading the airport’s capabilities and helping to attract more international and domestic services to Papua New Guinea’s major airport hub.”
The airport’s SITA AirportHub will be connected by dual international private circuits to Australia, ensuring international connectivity within SITA’s global network.

Port Moresby airport will be able to connect all of its applications and IT systems with SITA AirportHub, eliminating the need to contract local telecom providers and adding flexibility to route management.
