Oakland International Airport (OAK) in the US has implemented Evolv Technology’s physical threat detection and prevention system Evolv Edge, to help modernise the facility’s screening programme.
Powered by artificial intelligence (AI), the new screening platform will enable the airport to safeguard its staff from metallic and non-metallic threats, including firearms and explosive incidents.
The system is equipped with built-in wheels for portability and can be easily carried across the airport offering utmost efficiency for its staff inspection programme.
Evolv Technology CEO Mike Ellenbogen said: “With today’s threat landscape, the security perimeter has expanded beyond traditional checkpoints.
