Private equity group Weinberg Capital and its portfolio Company Aero 3 have completed the acquisition of Accessory Overhaul Group (AOG).
Aero 3 was initially formed in 2012 in order to buy AeroRepair and Hemico.
AOG is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certified 145 repair station with Accessory Class 1, 2 and 3 ratings.
The firm specialises in repairing and overhauling aircraft brakes and wheel assemblies, as well as mending starter generators, batteries, oxygen canisters, and related aircraft components.
AOG’s services are similar to that of AeroRepair; however, the group also serves Boeing and Airbus.
By acquiring AOG, Aero 3 will enter into the growing market for narrow and wide-bodied aircraft.
