Saint Louis University has selected Cirrus Aircraft to provide SR20 trainer aircraft for its pilot training programme.
Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology at the university will use the new aircraft to train students in flying commercial, military and general aircraft.
Saint Louis University’s Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology aviation science department chair Stephen Belt said: "Our goal is to provide a world-class flight training experience and set students up for success in their future careers.
"Integrating Cirrus SR20s into our training fleet is another sign of our commitment to offer the best training environment to our pilots."
Said to be a technologically advanced training aircraft, Cirrus SR20 features Cirrus Perspective by Garmin flight deck, which includes two large 10in flight displays, a flight management system (FMS) keypad controller, integrated engine indication, and crew alerting / warning systems.
The SR20 also features an electronic stability system and signature Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS).

Cirrus Aircraft has already supplied units to the US Air Force Academy, the Royal Saudi Air Force, the French Air Force and Navy, and the Civil Aviation Flight University of China.
The company will showcase Parks College’s SR20 aircraft at the upcoming EAA AirVenture event in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, US.
