Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia, US, has launched free Wi-Fi for customers.
The new system was announced by mayor Kasim Reed and interim general manager Miguel Southwell.

To introduce the system, airport information technology employees and contractors installed several hundred access points across the terminal complex within 30 days.
The new Wi-Fi can accommodate 15,000 simultaneous users, which is a seven-fold increase compared with the previous Wi-Fi system that could accommodate only 2,000 simultaneous users.
The installation involved an investment of $5.62m, which was approved by the Atlanta City Council.
Users previously had to pay $4.95 to access Wi-Fi at the airport.

Miguel Southwell said: "The lack of free Wi-Fi put our airport at a competitive disadvantage and it was the number one complaint we would receive from our customers.
"Travellers now expect airports to offer free Wi-Fi and this initiative is a prime example of our constant mission to improve the customer experience."
The new Wi-Fi allows users to access the Internet at download speeds at a minimum of 5Mb/s and upload speeds of 1Mb/s, compared to the previous configuration which allowed for download speeds of 2Mb/s and upload speeds of 1Mb/s.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport serves more than 94.4 million passengers annually with non-stop service to over 150 US destinations, as well as approximately 70 international destinations in more than 45 countries.
