SITA, an air transport communications provider based in Geneva, Switzerland, has been appointed to deploy a new communication solution across Kenya Airways’ global network.
SITA will use its Connect communication technology to enhance route network management for Kenya Airways.
The new technology will connect the airline employees and sales offices to its central systems and applications to manage reservations, check-in and boarding.
Hainan Airlines and Beijing Capital Airlines have entered a code-share partnership on routes from Shenyan to Melbourne, Australia.
The partnership will come into effect from 29 September 2016.
To cover additional Trans-Atlantic routes, Austrian Airlines has expanded its code-share agreement with Air Canada.

Japan Airlines has announced the extension of its code-share agreement with Spanish Airliner Iberia Lineas Aereas de Espana, SA (Iberia).
The agreement will connect customers of the two airlines flying between Japan and Madrid via Europe.
