German air traffic controller DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS) and Netherlands air traffic controller Luchtverkeersleiding Nederland (LVNL) have signed new contracts with technology supplier Indra.
Under the agreement, Indra will install common air traffic management systems in Germany and the Netherlands.
The contract involves the development of the iTEC centre automation system (iCAS), a next-generation air traffic management system developed to meet DFS and LVNL requirements.
During phase two of the iCAS project, the new systems will be installed at DFS centres in the German cities of Karlsruhe, Bremen, Munich and Langen, as well as at the LVNL Centre in Amsterdam.
Naples Municipal Airport in Florida has received approximately $1.66m in US Government funding for its renovation and refurbishment.
The funding was approved by the Federal Aviation Administration and Florida Department of Transportation.

By GlobalDataUS-based air carrier Delta Air Lines (DAL) and UK-based airline operator Virgin Atlantic Airways (VAAL) have announced a new code-share partnership with Indian air carrier Jet Airways.
The agreement enables Jet Airways’ passengers to fly to 24 cities across North America and Europe, including the UK, Paris, France, and the Netherlands via London Heathrow.
