Garuda Indonesia intends to expand its code-share partnership with the Netherlands flag carrier, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
Following the agreement, the former’s airline code will be placed on the KLM planes flying from Amsterdam to Copenhagen, Manchester, Oslo, Stockholm Arlanda and Venice between 25 and 30 October.
In another deal, Garuda Indonesia and Malaysia Airlines have extended their code-share agreement.
Malaysia Airlines will place its codes the former’s flights on routes from Kuala Lumpur to Chennai, Colombo, Delhi, Johor Bahru, Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu, Kuching, Langkawi, Miri, Mumbai, Penang and Sibu.
The Australian airliner will place its VA code on Alitalia’s flights operated on the routes from Abu Dhabi to both Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa.

During the first phase of the project, the passenger and cargo terminals will be constructed, along with a 4.2km runway for large commercial aircraft.
The phase will allow the airport a capacity to handle 1.7 million passengers a year.
The second phase will see the development of a second runway and more terminals, adding another 2.8 million passengers to the airport’s annual capacity
Phase 1 is planned to begin in June 2017 and will be completed by December 2018, while the schedule for Phase 2 has not been disclosed.
Virgin Australia Airlines and Italy’s flag carrier Alitalia have expanded their code-share partnership.
The agreement will allow the Italian operator to place its AZ code on Virgin Australia’s flights operated on the routes from Rome to Bari, Bologna, Catania, Florence, Genoa, Lamezia Terme, Naples, Palermo, Reggio Calabria, Turin and Venice.
