Donghai Airlines has finalised a contract for the purchase of five Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner twin-engine aircraft for $1.32bn.
To be inducted into Donghai's single-aisle fleet, the 787-9 jets will provide passenger comfort and improved fuel efficiency, while reducing the operating costs.
CFM International has received a $1.26bn firm order from China’s CDB Leasing for the supply of LEAP-1A engines.
Expected to be delivered between 2018 and 2021, the new LEAP-1A engines will power CDB Leasing’s new single-aisle aircraft.
United Technologies Corporation’s Pratt & Whitney division has won a contract from China’s Qingdao Airlines for the supply of PurePower Geared Turbofan (GTF) engines.
The PurePower GTF engines supplied under the contract will be fitted to 18 Airbus A320neo family aircraft operated by the Chinese airline.

The deal allows Gogo to offer Airshow moving map application for business aviation aircraft starting next year.
Cessna Aircraft Company has selected a Silvercrest business jet engine from Safran Aircraft Engine, a manufacturer of aircraft and rocket engines based in France.
Cessna intends to equip the Silvercrest engine onto its Citation Hemisphere business jet, which will offer a range of 4,500nm.
