Alaska Airlines and Japan Airlines (JAL) are to enter a code-share agreement and frequent flier partnership from 29 June.
The agreement will allow Alaska Airlines’s frequent flier members and JAL customers to enjoy seamless travel, one-stop check-in, baggage checked to final destination, smooth flight connections, air miles and customer service benefits.
The code-share is applicable to Alaska Airlines flights travelling in North America, Japan and throughout Asia, as well as JAL flights between Tokyo and Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Vancouver, and between Los Angeles and Osaka.
JAL also offers its services in Japan and throughout Asia.
Saudi Arabia’s low-cost airline Flynas has signed a code-share agreement with Turkish budget carrier Pegasus Airlines.
The agreement will extend Pegasus’s network to Saudi Arabia.

By GlobalDataFrom 15 May 2016, Flynas customers will be able to travel to Istanbul and connecting destinations in Turkey, including Trabzon, Ankara, Hatay, Adana and Antalya, through Pegasus’s hub at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen Airport.
Norwegian Air Shuttle, the third biggest low-cost carrier in Europe, has raised $74.8m through a public bonds offering.
Due in 2023, the bonds bear a coupon rate of 7.5% a year, payable semiannually.
In a separate public placement of bonds, the Norwegian air carrier raised gross proceeds of $274.31m.
These bonds are due in 2028 and bear a coupon rate of 4.875% a year.
Morgan Stanley is the book-runner for the offering.
