Air Canada’s new Maple Leaf Lounge at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) has re-opened after completing an 18-month refurbishment and expansion programme.
Located opposite the priority security lanes for international departures at the airline’s trans-Pacific hub, the upgraded facility provides a new rest area for Air Canada and Star Alliance passengers.
Air Canada Passenger Airlines president Benjamin Smith said: “We are excited to welcome Air Canada and Star Alliance eligible customers to our completely redesigned International Maple Leaf Lounge at YVR which has been created to complement the overall travel experience for our premium customers.
“Showcasing contemporary Canadian design, artwork and the majestic natural beauty of British Columbia, customers will enjoy a calm and inspiring environment in which to work or relax before their international Air Canada or Star Alliance flight.”
Built over an area of 1,250m2, the expanded Vancouver International Maple Leaf Lounge can accommodate 258 customers across its two levels.
The Canadian flag carrier operates 22 Maple Leaf Lounges worldwide, including 16 lounges at Canadian airports.
