Leonardo-Finmeccanica has selected Textron Aviation subsidiary Able Aerospace Services as an approved supplier for maintenance, repairs, overhaul (MRO) and testing for AgustaWestland products’ components.
AgustaWestland is a helicopter design and manufacturing company and fully owned subsidiary of Leonardo-Finmeccanica.
Under the deal, Able has become an official member of Leonardo Helicopters’ global service network.
Services under the newly signed agreement cover a variety of special processing and testing, all of which Able performs in-house.
Able Aerospace Services vice-president John Jackson said: "We have worked with Leonardo Helicopters for more than a decade, and applaud its commitment to strong aftermarket maintenance support.
"This new agreement gives Able more efficient avenues to do what we do best, which is to support aircraft operators with safe, fast, cost-saving aftermarket MRO."
