Lufthansa Technik has secured contracts from Aeroflot – Russian Airlines (Aeroflot), Ural Airlines and AirBridgeCargo Airlines for the provision of a range of comprehensive and long-term aircraft maintenance support services.

As part of a supply, pooling and maintenance agreement, Lufthansa will provide airframe-related component (ARC) services for Aeroflot’s complete A320 family aircraft.

The services will include maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) events for all ARC parts of Aeroflot’s A320 family aircraft. Lufthansa also supplies pooling services for specific components such as thrust reversers, inlet cowls and fan cowls.

Aeroflot Group’s Moscow-based MRO provider A-Technics has been selected as the subcontractor for all ARC MRO activities.

“The services will include maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) events for all ARC parts of Aeroflot’s A320 family aircraft.”

Under the contract signed with Ural Airlines, Lufthansa will provide total component support (TCS) for the former’s new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

The phase-in of the five new Airbus and 14 Boeing medium-haul aircraft is set to start this year.

Lufthansa will carry out component repairs within the company’s network at its facility in Hamburg, Germany. It has also extended an existing agreement to support the addition of Airbus A320neo aircraft to its fleet.

AirBridgeCargo Airlines has signed an agreement with Lufthansa for its Boeing 747-400F freighter fleet.

Lufthansa’s long-term TCS contract covers the Boeing 747-400F fleet of AirBridgeCargo, which currently comprises six aircraft and will perform comprehensive component services that covers a list of approximately 1,400 parts.

The company already supplies a range of overhaul, maintenance and engineering services to AirBridgeCargo Airlines’ Boeing 747 freighter fleet.

Lufthansa’s cooperation with Aeroflot has been developing for more than 25 years.
