German flag carrier Lufthansa and its associated airlines has announced plans to revive its flights to and from Tel Aviv from 8 January 2024, initially offering 20 weekly connections.
Services were suspended on 9 October 2023 due to Israeli’s conflict in Gaza.
In its first phase, Lufthansa will offer four weekly flights from Frankfurt and three weekly flights from Munich. Alongside this Austrian Airlines will offer eight weekly connections, while SWISS is planning five weekly flights.
The Group will offer a total of 20 weekly connections to and from Tel Aviv, equating to around 30% of the typical flying schedule.

The Lufthansa Group continues to monitor the security situation in Israel closely and is in close contact with the local and international authorities. Possible flight schedule adjustments must be expected due to changing conditions”.
The flight schedule was made available on 18 December, with flights being available from that date. Alongside the announcement, flights to Beirut (Lebanon), which have also been suspended, were resumed today, December 15, by Lufthansa, SWISS and Eurowings.
