Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) will resume transit / transfer services from 1 June in a phased manner.
Last month, the airport extended the suspension of transit / transfer services in a bid to limit the spread of Covid-19.
However, non-Hong Kong residents from other regions are still barred from entering the region, according to rules set by the Hong Kong SAR Government.
This move follows the government’s announcement that stated that the anti-epidemic measures, which came into effect on 25 March, will be implemented for the foreseeable future.
Non-residents of Hong Kong arriving from Mainland China, Macao and Taiwan will have to undergo a 14-day quarantine and those who have visited any foreign country 14 days before arrival can also not enter Hong Kong.
The suspension of cross-boundary land transport and cross-boundary ferry transfers at the airport are still in place.
