Helsinki Airport in Finland is set to open a new Plaza Premium Lounge in February next year at its non-Schengen terminal.
The new lounge will be opened as part of the terminal’s extension plan. The operator for the lounge has been selected through a public tendering process.
Finnish government-owned company Finavia manages Helsinki Airport.
Helsinki Airport Commercial Services vice-president Elena Stenholm said: “At Helsinki Airport we work hard together with our partners to ensure a smooth, high-quality travel experience for our customers.
“Plaza Premium Lounge is a wonderful new addition to our ever-growing range of services, giving our 20 million annual passengers a possibility to relax before, after or between flights at non-Schengen terminal.”
Once operational, the new lounge will offer a number of services along with pay-in lounge services in collaboration with Plaza Premium Lounge to travellers departing, transiting and landing at the airport.
