UAE-based airline Emirates has launched self check-in and bag drop kiosks at Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport as it seeks to further improve the passenger airport experience.
Overall, 16 self-service bag drop machines and eight self-service kiosks were installed at the terminal to reduce wait times and expedite check-in processes.
Passengers can use the self-serving kiosks for travelling to all destinations except to the US, Canada, China, India and Hong Kong.
Users can use the kiosks for check-in, procuring boarding passes, selecting seats on board, and for dropping off luggage.
According to Emirates, the facilities are cleaned and disinfected regularly to ensure maximum safety for passengers. Emirates staff will also be around to offer assistance.
In a statement, the airline said: “The new offering is part of Emirates’ continued investment in product and service to provide an unmatched travel experience on ground and on board.

“The self check-in kiosks will be continually upgraded to offer new features in the future, including going touchless and allowing customers to make re-bookings on their own.”
The company plans to add more self-services facilities in the upcoming months.
