The solution will feature SITA’s airport management solution and Wipro’s airport technology.
Burns & McDonnell and Alliance Consulting will design and bid major elements of the Williston Basin International Airport under a contract awarded by the City of Williston.
The new airport is currently under construction and will replace the Sloulin Field International Airport.
Projects handled by the team will include a perimeter fence, electrical vault, access road, rental car facility and runway visual aid support structures design.
The team will provide design, bid and construction services for a 4,500ft-long crosswind runway and a 450,000ft² aviation parking apron.
Construction on the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.
UK-based Watson Batty Architects has been contracted for the internal remodelling of Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA).
It will also work on the design of an arrivals extension and departure pier.
The development is part of the ‘Route to 2030’ Strategic Development Plan of the airport. It will also include new retail spaces, dining outlets, and upgrade of the departure gates.
Terminal remodelling enables the airport to offer a new centralised security search area and a departure lounge layout.
The expansion project is scheduled for completion by 2020.
The Capital Region Airport Commission has awarded a $28.488m contract to WM Schlosser Company to carry out extension works on Concourse A at Richmond International Airport (RIC).
The contract includes the installation of six gates, which bring the total number of gates at the airport to 28. It also provides additional space for the future growth of airlines.
Scheduled for completion by March 2020, the project will be supported by the funds secured from passenger facility charges and local commission.
