Dassault Falcon Jet has opened a new MRO facility in Sao Paulo, Brazil, replacing its previous facility in the city with a site in the grounds of Catarina Executive International Airport.
The Dassault Aviation subsidiary opened the almost 40,000ft2 site to take over maintenance and overhaul operations up to B level checks for Falcon 7X/8X and Falcon 2000 aircraft registered in Brazil. Its previous Sorocaba MRO facility opened in 2009.
The new facility has also been designed to handle the largest Dassault jets, including the incoming ultra-long range, extra widebody Falcon 10X, with space for up to five Falcon business aircraft at a time.
Additionally, Dassault said the site will be able to carry out engine line maintenance of CFE-738 and Honeywell TFE731 engines, as well as Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307A, PW307D, and PW308C model engines.
As part of the company’s expansion of its MRO facilities and ‘GoTeams’, the Sao Paulo-Catarina site will take over support for the GoTeam programme in the region, providing on-demand mobile support for operators in South America.
The opening of the Brazilian facility follows Dassault Falcon’s launch of new MRO centres at Dubai World Central Airport and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, operating under the ExecuJet MRO brand.

By GlobalDataJean Kayanakis, senior vice president for worldwide customer service at Dassault, said: “For our company, after-market support is a truly vital part of the ownership experience.
“This means keeping Dassault as close as possible to its customers and offering all the services needed to maximize the up-time and value of their Falcon fleet.”
Dassault’s launch at Catarina Executive International Airport is also a boost for the site, which opened in 2019 and is the first international airport in Brazil dedicated to business aviation.
