Collins Aerospace, a business of RTX, has entered an agreement with Air Europa to provide comprehensive maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for the airline’s fleet of 787 aircraft.

The 10-year contract includes support through Collins’ FlightSense and Dispatch programmes, offering onsite assistance for numbers of 787 systems including electric power, environmental control and avionics for the carrier.

Collins will also deliver predictive health maintenance via its Ascentia software platform and ensures the availability of 787 parts in Europe.

Air Europa Chief Technical Officer Pedro Macías said: “We are very satisfied with the agreement reached with Collins as it reinforces the quality of maintenance already carried out on our 787 fleet.

“The Dreamliner is not only our flagship aircraft, but also the benchmark for operations between Europe and America. For us, it is key to rely on a supplier with the prestige and reliability of Collins in a market as demanding as ours.”

Collins’ FlightSense and Dispatch programmes are designed to meet airlines’ specific requirements, enhancing the availability of parts and ensuring top-tier MRO services.
