Philippines’ airline Cebu Pacific (CEB) has selected Levarti’s MAX Suite of mobile and desktop applications to help improve customer service and streamline airport operations.

Over the next five years, the airline company plans to invest more than PHP60m ($1.19m) annually to implement digital platforms and install a software system to verify passengers’ international travel documentation.

All the documents would be verified through a real-time database comprising visa requirements of various countries.

As part of the programme, CEB contracted the web-based and mobile platform developer Levarti.

The set of applications include MAX Airport platform will enable its terminal personnel to remotely check-in passengers, assign seats and print boarding passes, along with other associated services when linked with CEB’s internal systems.

“Remote check-in devices are designed so that passengers can complete check-in procedures without ever having to fall in line at the counters.”

MAX Airport suite is installed on iPads and now used by ground staff at 36 domestic destinations of CEB.

Cebu Pacific Airport Services vice-president Michael Ivan Shau said: “It is imperative we invest in technology and streamline processes to improve passenger throughput at check-in and lessen the pain points for our customers.

“The remote check-in devices are designed so that passengers can complete check-in procedures without ever having to fall in line at the counters.

“As MAX Airport speeds up the necessary steps, the airline’s on-time performance is also expected to improve, thus reducing the occurrences of flight delays caused by these time-consuming procedures.”

In the upcoming months, CEB is expected to integrate the remaining Levarti MAX suite into its operations.

This will include MAX Ops designed to manage disrupted flights, and MAX Ramp that provides real-time airport, flight and operational information to all personnel
