American Express has unveiled plans to open the 13th and 14th Centurion-branded lounges at London’s Heathrow Airport in the UK and the Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina, US.
Centurion Lounge at Heathrow Airport’s will be located after security in Terminal 3, will cover 7,000ft² and is scheduled to open next year. It will be the first of the company’s lounges in Europe, and the second outside the US.
Heathrow Property head John Arbuckle said: “The lounge will offer a unique and premium experience for American Express customers and a comfortable haven, bringing to life the essence of modern British hospitality.”
At Charlotte Douglas Airport, the Centurion lounge will also be positioned after security checks on the top floor of a new expansion at the intersection of Concourses D and E, adjacent to the airport’s central Atrium. It will become operational in 2020.
Covering 13,000ft², the lounge will feature floor-to-ceiling windows. It will offer members complimentary food and drink, bar staff, and access to Wi-Fi.
