ADB Safegate Airport Systems has launched its new Resource Management Express (RMX) solution, which will help in the management of airport resources and flight schedules.
RMX is a Cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solution that provides real-time views of gates, stands, and baggage reclaim stations.
This allows the operators to manage and allocate the airport’s resources from any place.
With the solution, airports and airlines are able to respond in a quick manner to unplanned events, make better decisions and plan for growth.
The turnkey RMX is hosted and managed by ADB Safegate Airport Systems and includes online training and tech support.
The suite features modules for planning, allocation, alerting and reporting, along with a rule-based engine that factors in constraints and preferences, allocating the resources to increase operational efficiency.
Airlines can partner with airports and ground handlers to decrease the ground time and aid more sustainable operations.
ADB Safegate Airport Systems and Tower Solutions vice-president Sébastien Jodeau said: “Resource management systems (RMS) are typically associated with a higher level of hardware and infrastructure management costs and seen as solutions for large airports.
“But we’ve honed our expertise in RMS over 20 plus years, and we believe that airports of all sizes can benefit from resource optimisation. That’s why we’ve designed RMX as a turnkey solution: it’s scalable, affordable and easy to use.”
Airports and airlines can use RMX’s virtual sandbox area to check if current resources can aid additional flights.
RMX is commercially available for airports and airlines and the company plans to first deploy the system in a small US airport.
Last October, ADB Safegate introduced its portfolio of integrated and compatible solutions to boost airfield performance, safety and sustainability.
