Adani Airport Holdings (AAHL) has entered into strategic partnership with technology company Thales to improve airport operations and passenger experiences across India.
This collaboration has already seen the deployment of the Fly to Gate solution at seven airports managed by AAHL since early this year.

The solution, which is based on IATA’s OneID concept, offers a touchless biometric experience through airports.
Building on their collaboration, AAHL has now awarded Thales a new contract to implement the Airport Operation Control Centre (APOC) at all its airports.
This system is designed to optimise airport management and securely elevate the passenger experience.
The seven airports under AAHL’s management now feature the DigiYatra initiative, powered by Thales’ Fly to Gate solution.

This integration of biometric solutions has reduced passenger processing times by up to 30% at these airports, aligning with the Indian government’s Digital India vision.
In addition, Thales has been tasked with the design, integration, and deployment of a comprehensive APOC solution for all airports managed by AAHL.
APOC, a cloud-based ‘Smart Digital Platform’, will centralise all necessary applications for improving management, security, and passenger experience at the airports.
It collects and intelligently processes operational data from integrated airport subsystems and sensors, adhering to privacy standards, through automation, big data analytics, and AI algorithms.
The deployment of this solution will enhance resource predictability and overall efficiency, Thales said.

In a separate development, the Adani Group, which owns AAHL, is in talks with a Middle Eastern sovereign fund to raise up to $1bn for its airports division, a report from The Economic Times revealed.
