Latvia’s flag carrier airBaltic has announced the extension of its partnership with Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) to provide additional options to passengers.
The extended codeshare agreement will see extra travelling options for travellers from Vilnius to Kyiv, Ukraine, and beyond from 28 March.
All flights operated by airBaltic and UIA to Kyiv will have partner marketing codes.
In a statement, airBaltic said that direct flights from Vilnius to Kyiv will remain operational during this year’s summer season.
An Airbus A220-300 aircraft flight will operate twice a week with plans to increase the number of weekly frequencies to three in June.
The planned duration of the flight to Kyiv is one hour and 15 minutes.

The airBaltic pricing structure begins with GREEN for lowest fares, GREEN Classic and the Business fare.
The cooperation between the two companies started in 2013 via a codeshare agreement between the Riga and Kyiv hubs.
airBaltic currently operates direct flights from Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius to various European business centres and transit hubs.
Meanwhile, the carrier urges passengers to check the travel regulations and airport restrictions on the official websites or with local embassies prior to the journey.
