El Dorado Airport in Colombia has selected GrayMatter and its local IT partner Arprotect to provide its new concession review management and analytics system.
The system enables the real-time, non-intrusive collection of sales data from point-of-sale (POS) terminals at all airport stores running Store Sense, GrayMatter’s Internet of Things (IoT) device.
Extracted data will interface with the billing system and will be further processed for income computation. Analysis of this data also allows decisions to be made through data-driven business insights concerning the performance of food and beverage (F&B) outlets, retail stores, duty-free shops, product categories and customer preferences.
El Dorado Airport CEO Álvaro Gonzalez said: “We are constantly looking for technological innovations to improve our passenger experience. Data analysis will allow El Dorado to identify pain points and present a variety of alternatives for customers. This is a big step within a whole strategy to position El Dorado as one of the most important airports in Latin America.”
Vikas Gupta, CEO, GrayMatter, added, “We are happy to partner with Arprotec for this wonderful opportunity to work for El Dorado Airport. I look forward to this system bringing in immense benefits to El Dorado Airport business.”
