AGS Airports has signed new three-year contracts with Scottish water retailer Business Stream for the supply of water and wastewater services at three of its airports in the UK.
UK-based AGS Airports owns Glasgow Airport, Aberdeen International Airport and Southampton Airport.
Business Stream has secured a new supply contract for Southampton Airport, and has extended its existing contracts with the other two UK airports.
AGS Airports procurement group head Maureen Jamieson said: “Business Stream’s services and account management support allow us to manage the airport’s water systems smoothly and efficiently.
"As an organisation committed to reducing our impact on the environment, we’re also taking advantage of their technology and expertise to identify and manage opportunities for cutting water use.”
The new deal comes after the opening of the £2.5bn English retail water market in April, which allowed 1.2 million businesses and public bodies across England to choose their water supplier.
