By GlobalDataCustomers may choose from a variety of basic and optional amenities with a fully customised interior to best suit their needs. To give passengers a new degree of spacious legroom and freedom, the aircraft will have a flat floor.
According to Textron Aviation’s SVP of customer experience Christi Tannahill, the flat floor is a game-changer: “The design gives passengers more room to swivel their seats, stretch their legs and comfortably move around the cabin.”
Moreover, modern Garmin G5000 avionics with the most recent software and hardware will be available in the Cessna Citation Ascend aircraft.
The avionics include auto throttle technology to reduce pilot workload, three large, 14-inch ultra-high-resolution displays with split-screen capabilities and standard dual flight management systems.
In addition, the Pratt and Whitney Canada PW545D engines for the Citation Ascend are made to provide improved fuel efficiency, more thrust and an extended time on the wing.
Textron Aviation stated that the Cessna Citation Ascend is the pinnacle of efficiency and productivity as the PW545D engines include Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC), the system also provided in the Beechcraft Denali.
The FADEC enables the new auto throttle technology and ensures they run as efficiently as possible while lessening the stress on the pilot.
