Leading satellite service provider Inmarsat announces the next step of the Jet ConneX (JX) inflight broadband solution, redefining the industry’s gold-standard connection.
The next-generation systems utilise cutting-edge technology and lightweight construction to enhance performance, reduce costs and simplify installation and maintenance.
The smaller size and lighter weight of these terminals make them suitable for various business jets, creating new opportunities in the expanding super midsize aircraft sector.
With the new service options, Inmarsat partner Honeywell offers improved performance by utilising Jet ConneX’s already-proven JetWave terminal.
Additionally, the three new next-generation terminals being developed by Satcom Direct, Orbit and Honeywell as well as Jet ConneX’s existing popular JetWave terminal by Inmarsat’s partner Honeywell are all compatible with the new service plans.
Kai Tang, Inmarsat’s head of business aviation, noted how the delivery of broadband solutions shows an insight into the future of the business aviation sector: “Jet ConneX is renowned for delivering a very high standard of service and these transformative new plans once again highlight Inmarsat’s continued focus on staying ahead of market expectations.

After entering the commercial market in November 2016, Jet ConneX has expanded its reach to over 1,400 business jets, offering services with speeds up to 100Mbps – a high speed previously only available on the ground.
According to the Inmarsat 2023 business aviation study, Inmarsat found that the rise in passenger connectivity has the highest impact on giving inflight connectivity.
Adding to this, they reported a 74% increase in total passenger satisfaction after implementing these new solutions.
These new service options are immediately available for purchase by both new and existing customers.
