Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in Carolina, Puerto Rico, has been equipped with CLEAR’s expedited security screening lanes.
Operated by Aerostar Airport Holdings, SJU has become the first airport outside the continental US to incorporate these lanes.
The company’s dedicated lanes are used for verifying the members’ identity with their eyes or fingers.
This replaces the need to show the wallet and driver’s licence.
A CLEAR Ambassador will accompany members through the dedicated lane and to US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) physical security after completing the verification process.
This new service reduces the amount of time spent waiting in line at the security checkpoint of the airport.
